The applicant must be a current rising 4th year medical student, late 3rd year medical student or resident physician in good standing at their home institution.

The applicant must have either secured a rotation or must be in the process of applying for an elective rotation within Alameda County, CA at an accredited institution other than their home institution..

A scholarship will only be awarded with evidence of confirmation of a rotation.

There are no restrictions on the specialty of the rotation being applied for but preference will be given to applicants doing rotations in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.

Preference may also be given to applicants doing rotations at safety net/County-based programs.

The scholarship does not have any citizenship requirements or restrictions on school/program of origin of the applicant.

The scholarship recipient’s name and/or image may be displayed on the foundation website.
